KidResq is a backup to first aid. Always call emergency services and start back blows and abdominal thrusts first.

Description

KidResq is a reusable, non-invasive choking rescue device for children from 1 year old and adults. When back blows and abdominal thrusts don't clear the airway, KidResq gives parents, grandparents and carers a fast backup they can use in seconds — with no batteries, no charging and no expiry date.

Why every home with children needs an anti-choking device

Choking is a leading cause of injury and death among young children, and it usually happens at home, during an ordinary meal or snack. Standard first aid always comes first. But if it isn't working, every second counts — and having a choking rescue device within reach means you're never left with nothing else to try.

How KidResq works: Seal, Press, Pull

  1. Seal — choose the adult or child mask and place it firmly over the nose and mouth.
  2. Press — hold the mask in place and push the handle all the way down.
  3. Pull — pull the handle back quickly and firmly to create suction that helps lift the stuck object. Repeat if needed.

Nothing is inserted into the mouth or throat, and clear masks let you see the airway as you work.

Key features

  • Non-invasive: the mask sits over the nose and mouth — nothing goes into the throat.
  • Adult and child masks included: one device for the whole family, from age 1 to adults.
  • Reusable with no expiry date: clean it after use and keep it ready for years.
  • No batteries or charging: a simple manual device that's always ready.
  • Compact carry bag: fits in a kitchen drawer, nappy bag or car glovebox.
  • Clear step-by-step instructions: two instruction sheets in every kit — one for the bag, one for the fridge.

Pack of 1 or Pack of 2?

The Pack of 1 includes 1 KidResq device, 1 adult mask, 1 child mask, 1 carry bag and 2 instruction sheets. The Pack of 2 doubles everything — so you can keep one kit at home and one in the car, nappy bag or at the grandparents' — and saves you 88 compared with buying two single packs.

About KidResq

What is KidResq?

KidResq is a portable, non-invasive choking rescue device. It uses suction through a mask placed over the nose and mouth to help lift a stuck object from the airway. It's designed as a backup for when standard first aid (back blows and abdominal thrusts) isn't working.

Who can use KidResq?

Every kit includes an adult mask and a child mask, so it can be used on children from 1 year old, teens and adults. Choose the mask that fully covers the nose and mouth and forms a tight seal. KidResq is not for babies under 1 year.

How does KidResq work?

Three steps: Seal the right mask over the nose and mouth, press the handle down, then pull it back quickly to create suction. Repeat if needed. Always follow the instruction sheet in your kit.

When should I use KidResq?

Only in a choking emergency, after you've called for help and started standard first aid. If back blows and abdominal thrusts aren't clearing the airway, use KidResq as your backup.

Does KidResq replace first aid or calling emergency services?

No. Always call emergency services (998 in the UAE, 997 in Saudi Arabia) and start standard first aid first. KidResq is a backup — not a replacement for first-aid training or medical care.

Is KidResq reusable? Does it expire?

Yes, KidResq is reusable, and it has no expiry date. After use, clean it as described in the instructions and return it to its bag so it's ready again.

What's included in the box?

Pack of 1: 1 KidResq device, 1 adult mask, 1 child mask, 1 carry bag and 2 instruction sheets.
Pack of 2: 2 devices, 2 adult masks, 2 child masks, 2 carry bags and 4 instruction sheets.

Should I buy the Pack of 1 or the Pack of 2?

Choking can happen anywhere food is — at home, in the car, at the grandparents'. Most families choose the Pack of 2 so there's a kit in two places, and it saves you 88 compared with buying two single packs.

Using KidResq

Can I use KidResq on a baby under 1 year?

No. KidResq is designed for children from 1 year old and adults. For a choking baby under 1, call emergency services and give up to 5 back blows followed by up to 5 chest thrusts, repeating until help arrives.

How do I choose the right mask?

Use the mask that covers both the nose and mouth completely and seals against the face. As a guide, the child mask suits young children and the adult mask suits older children, teens and adults — but always choose by fit, not age.

Can I practise with KidResq?

Never test KidResq on someone who is breathing normally. Instead, read the instructions, practise attaching each mask, and show everyone at home — including nannies and grandparents — where the kit is kept.

What if the person becomes unresponsive?

Call emergency services immediately and start CPR if you're trained, following the operator's instructions. Refer to the instruction sheet in your kit for guidance on the device.

Is KidResq safe to use?

KidResq is non-invasive — nothing is inserted into the mouth or throat. Use it only in a genuine choking emergency, exactly as described in the instructions, and always after standard first aid.

What should I do after using KidResq?

Always get the person checked by a doctor after any choking incident, even if they seem fine. Then clean the device and masks as described in the instructions and return them to the bag.

How do I clean KidResq?

Wash the device and masks with warm, soapy water, rinse well and let them air-dry completely before storing. Follow any additional cleaning steps in your kit's instructions.

Where should I keep KidResq?

Somewhere everyone knows and can reach quickly — a kitchen drawer near where your family eats is ideal. With the Pack of 2, keep the second kit in the car, nappy bag or at the grandparents'.

Safety & good to know

How is KidResq made?

KidResq is manufactured to strict quality standards for this category of device, with clear masks so you can see the airway and a durable, reusable design.

Does KidResq need batteries or maintenance?

No batteries and no charging. Just check the kit every few months to make sure everything is clean, complete and in its bag.

Do I still need to learn first aid?

Yes — and we strongly recommend it. A certified paediatric first-aid and CPR course (for example from the Red Crescent or a recognised training provider) is the best preparation any parent or carer can have.

How can I tell if someone is choking?

Signs include being unable to speak, cry or cough effectively; high-pitched noises or no sound at all; clutching the throat; and lips or skin turning blue. Choking is often silent.

What are the most common choking hazards for young children?

Hard sweets, whole nuts, whole grapes, dates with stones, popcorn, sausages and chunks of meat, raw carrot and apple, plus small objects such as coins, small toy parts and button batteries. Cut food into small pieces and always supervise mealtimes.

What's the difference between gagging and choking?

Gagging is noisy — coughing, spluttering, red face — and is a normal reflex. Let the child keep coughing. Choking is often silent: the child can't breathe, cough or cry. Choking needs immediate action.
